Altea Green Power also took part this year in KEY 2026, with three intense days packed with meetings, technical discussions and new opportunities for collaboration with companies, professionals and operators involved in the energy transition.
The fair is always a small laboratory of the future: we see technologies, business models and, above all, people and specialized teams working to change the way we produce and use energy.
Over the past few days, we had the opportunity to present our way of working, our business models and our vision to many industrial and financial players, and to share our perspective on some of the key issues in the energy transition.
Specifically, we discussed:
- Industrial photovoltaics (PV) and the enhancement of corporate rooftops as true strategic energy assets, capable of delivering self-generation, efficiency and greater energy independence for businesses.
- The development of integrated projects and systems in the renewable energy sector, with an approach that combines photovoltaics, storage systems and dedicated solutions for the C&I (Commercial & Industrial) segment.
- Projects and opportunities in the wind sector, an integral part of the energy mix required for the transition.
- BESS storage systems as a central element in the energy strategies of companies and the national grid, critical to managing price volatility, optimizing consumption and participating in new grid services.
- The strategic role of grid infrastructure, which is becoming increasingly crucial in enhancing renewable projects and developing new areas for energy production.
- The evolving value of agricultural land, which in many cases is becoming a key asset for the development of renewable energy sources due to its energy vocation and favourable permitting conditions.
As a new development, we presented the new BU that will start operations this year. It is a BU dedicated to hybrid plants, namely photovoltaics combined with batteries and also with electrolyzers for hydrogen production. We are aware that this is still an early-stage technology, but, as with batteries - where we were among the pioneers in the Italian market - we believe market acceleration will be much faster than current scenarios suggest.
