BESS Rondissone (TO Italy), start of work

On 27 February, Altea Green Power took part in the kick-off event for the BESS project in Rondissone (TO Italy), a strategic initiative in Italy’s energy storage sector.

The project, developed by Altea Green Power and Aer Soléir, an Irish Independent Power Producer active in the development of renewable energy and storage projects in Europe, has planned power of 250 MW and capacity of 1 GWh, making it one of the largest energy storage systems under construction in the Country.

The event was attended by senior representatives of national and local institutions, including Minister of the Environment and Energy Security, Gilberto Pichetto Fratin, the Mayor of Rondissone, Antonio Magnone, the Deputy Mayor of the Metropolitan City of Turin, Jacopo Suppo, and Councillor Andrea Tronzano.

We are pleased to have contributed to the project as AGP, supporting the preparatory activities for constructability and ensuring the completion of key milestones.

Our participation reflects our commitment to developing innovative energy infrastructure and advancing the energy transition toward a more sustainable and resilient electricity system.
