Renewables, he noted, will cover most of the electricity demand, but a small share of nuclear power – known as base load – will also be needed to ensure grid stability.

Storage and BESS systems will then be essential.

Our CEO also agrees on another point: electricity generated from renewable sources will be by far the least expensive, even when accounting for major investments in new plants, grid upgrades, and storage systems.

This is confirmed, says Di Pascale, by the growing interest shown by major international financiers.
